Black Granite
Black Granite is a variety of basic rock, geologically known as Dolerites. It takes very high polish, displaying uniform grain size and Equigranular texture. The rock can be cut into thin slabs.
Uses :
Monuments, memorials, wall facings, base of heavy machineries surface plates, slag draining channel for Iron & Steel industry etc. Exported to Japan, West Germany, Italy, Italy, Australlia.
Mignsatite(Paradiso)
Grey Granite is an acidic rock with Gneissic fabric. The colour of the rock depends upon the colour of the constituent feldspar. It takes very high polish.
Uses :
Wall facings and decorative building material. Exported to West Germany, Italy and Australia.
Granite Factories
TAMIN has two sophisticated granite processing units viz. one at Chennai (Manali) producing building slab and monuments and other at Madhepalli near Krishnagiri where granite tiles of various colours are produced. Each unit was set up with an investment of Rs. 65 million.
TAMIN granite factory, Manali was formerly a 100% EOU and now it caters to the domestic market also. This unit is well equipped with modern machineries for producing finished products to the international standard. The annual capacity of the granite processing is 50,000 Sq.mtrs. of slabs of 2 and 3 cm, thickness and 10,000 Sq.mtrs. of monuments. Machinery's like gang saw, circular saw, automatic grinding and polishing machines, imported from Germany are used for producing granite slabs and monuments. Apart from this, TAMIN is also making kitchen top, table top, teapoys, telephone stand etc. for local market at reasonable and affordable prices.

TAMIN title Plant, Madhepalli
TAMIN Tile Plant at Madhepalli is a 100% EOU. The plant has modern and sophisticated imported machinery for precise finish of products. The annual capacity of the plant is 21,300 Sq.mtrs. The plant has facilities to produce 30x30 cm., 30x45 cm., 45x45 cm., 60x30 cm., 60x45 cm. Tiles with a thickness of 10 mm and 12 mm. All tiles are calibrated to precise dimensions.
Cube Cutting Plant
TAMIN cube cutting plant is situated near Krishnagiri. The imported hydraulic splitting machines are used to split blocks into required thickness of cubes from 6 cm. to 25 cm. for use as pavement stones in garden, commercial complex environs and as kerb stones in highway etc. TAMIN produces granite cubes ranging from 6 cm. to 25 cm. conforming to world standards. The total installed capacity is 3000 tonnes per annum.
